Inderjeet Grewal, Deputy Director,  Ministry of Information Broadcasting speaks about the importance of GOPA and the terms and conditions laid in the agreement. Mr Grewal also explains the procedure involved in the bank guarantee submission with the GOPA and the importance of submitting the bank guarantee and the need for its submission. Finally he stresses the importance of the Community Radio Facilitation Centre (CRFC) in moving the CR movement forward.

In the Community Radio sector a growing concern among practitioners and experts is about self regulation. N Ramakrishnan, Executive Director, Ideosync Media Combine states that self regulation within the Community Radio sector starts with each individual station as each station must see that it follows a certain ethical code that its community defines for it. While Ashish Sen, Former President, AMARC Asia Pacific is of the opinion that self regulation cannot be imposed from outside as the community knows what it should do and what it should not do. Rukmini Vemraju, Community Media Expert also speaks about the Peer Review process where the stations will self evaluate themselves.
