<p>To provide education to the rural, urban masses through a wide gamut of inspiring and thought-provoking programmes related to agriculture, health, education, culture, and entertainment.</p>

<p>With the support of the Media Studies programme of the Sri Siddhartha Education Society, G. Parameshwara, initiated the establishment of the Community Radio Station 90.8 FM on theCampus. The Radio has given a platform to the marginalised sectionsof the society, and to the rural and urban masses to voice theirfeelings, emotions and even problems. It benefits students as well as general public.</p>

Radio Siddhartha @90.8 MHz broadcasts for six hours per day. These are done in two slots from 6 am – 9 am and 6 pm – 9 pm.

Paramparika Vaidya Interview and interaction based programme. Every Thursday at 6:30 pm Numbers of doctors practising traditional medicine systems along with the beneficiaries are visiting radio station for giving programmes. Many a time, staff visits the places for airing programmes live resulting in a unique programme beneficial to society in making aware of the potential of the medicine system, on the verge of losing its hold over society.
English Time Interactive Mon-Fri 7:30 am With popularity among the students, teachers and public in general, this is a programme for empowerment. Listeners regularly interact with the teacher and get their doubts clarified live.
Janapada Loka Mix Format Sun 6:30 pm This programme has proved successful in providing a much required platform to folk artists of our area to show case their talents in various folk arts. This is likely to continue for number of years to come.
Prathibha Kirana Interview Mon-Fri 7:00 am This programme identifies local talent and provides them an opportunity to introduce themselves in their own words highlighting the importance of their achievements and any difficulties they face in life, resulting in bringing the hidden talents and aspirations to public domain.
Krushi Kanaja Interview Mon and Thu 7:00 am Experts and successful farmers share their experience helping provide much needed guidance and succour to farmers in need of technical and other support.A very popular programme.

<p>Signature Programme ShikshanaVani, JanapadaJagattu, PratibhaKirana, KrushiKanaja, Saahityaraadhane, VignanaVismaya, MUKTA, Deaddiction Time. Community Participation: Our Programme Committee (PC) comprises different sections of the society. The PC members and Radio staff discuss the concept, identify local talents and concerned resource persons, provide them a platform debate and voice their feelings and views. Innovations in format Meluku is a programme in which important personalities who have left an indelible impression on generations are discussed. The purpose of this programme is to create historical awareness of the district for the benefit of the present generation.</p>

<p>Through our radio, Pasha became ancelebrity. A native of Veerasagara, Pasha&rsquo;s wife called in to the radio show and enquired if her husband JameelPasha could be helped. After his interview with the radio, Pasha now has film offers. There are more such stories, like helping Manjula file for legal action against her alcoholic husband Devraj who also harassed her for dowry. C Shankaranna, a folk artist from Tumkur was given an opportunity to play at the programme JanapadaJagattu and won the District Rajyotsava Award of 2012.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>CRMC members:</strong><br />The CRMC committee comprises of campus students and radio staff. The Programme Committee (PC) comprises of 30 people from various sections of the society like people from the rural areas, slum dwellers, social workers, HIV-affected people, artists, educationists, science activists and members of NGOs in and around the district.</p>
