<p>Radio IIMT 90.4 CR is aunique initiative to increase community coherence through active participation.Radio IIMT has a vision of bringing about social sustainable changesin the region by identifying the needs of marginalizedpopulation, specially women, youth and farmers and empowering themto take charge of their lives, become financially viable and key role indecision making.</p> <p>Radio IIMT is not only as asource of information and entertainment for society, but also as atool of empowerment. It also acts as a platform to voice concerns and issues and discuss possible solutions.</p>

<p>Radio IIMT&rsquo;s programming is a mix of information andentertainment. The focus is to combine the objective of development and reach to the community.</p> <p>Community Radio offers an innovativeapproach to combine knowledge sharing with creativity andentertainment. It offers to be innovative so that the information and knowledge it airs can be absorbed by a diverse listener base. Young listeners in the area need to hear programmes onemployment, career opportunities and career guidance.</p>

Radio IIMT @90.4 MHz broadcasts its programmes for 18 hours daily from 6:00 am – 12:00 midnight.

Rogzgar Update Talk Show 8.00 – 10:00 am Totally based on employment openings to people who are matriculation and higher secondary pass, not knowing that there are job openings in various Government and public sector undertakings. We tell them about the job opening area, place, last date of submission along with educational qualifications essential.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Songs and Discussions 10:00 pm – 12:00 midnight Based on human values and living a meaningful life coping up with daily stress and meeting all our financial requirements in daily life. We tell listeners the key to be happy and create happy environment for family and others. We play old light songs in between all our spoken links to lighten them if they get bored with lecture.
Choti Lagat Apna Kaam Discussion and Information sharing 8:00 – 10:00 am (Sundays) It is based on self employment for the people who are not educated enough to get job. We tell them how to start a small business with a very low investment at home, for example, making candles, making colorful pots, cane items, making rope from dry coconut and many more things. We explain success stories of other village people. Ouraim is to create awareness and give them various ideas for generating revenue for themselves.
Dil Se Participatory Mixed format, (vox populi) 12:00 – 2:00 pm (Sundays) This show is based on total community participation. Our RJs go and sit with the local villagers and chat with them heart to heart. We broadcast them with their local folk songs sung by them. We talk to them about urban-rural life, food culture, changing times and media, their day to day problems and messages to friends through our radio.
Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani Talk Show 4:00 – 5:00 pm (Sundays) It is based on lesser known freedom fighters who have contributed in freedom struggle but their name has never came into light. People who gave their lives from different corners of India with specific details about their contribution in freedom struggle are explained to listeners with insertions of patriotic songs in between breaks.

<p>Signature Programme: Hello Meerutand Aapka Vivek Community Participation: Programme content is taken from various sources, including internet, publications, state departments (health, environment, municipal, police, fire etc). Radio IIMT invites people from the community to its studios to record their ideas and views for a range of shows it offers &ndash; from talking on a subject of their choice to singing a song in their language or sharing their views on topical issues.</p>

<p>Funding and Partnerships Funding for the Community Radio Station is supported by the IIMT Group of Colleges. The radio stations are exploring opportunities to generate funding from local advertising.</p>

<p>Radio IIMT 90.4 CR is totally committed to local community developments and it imparts training to people who can qualify an audition test. Announcements are made frequently through newspapersand people are invited to explore their talent to become radio jockeys.</p> <p>The selected people are provideda free-of-cost training over three months and are awarded certificates so that they can pursue a career in the radio media.People trained by Radio IIMT 90.4 CR come from local villages and the suburbs of Meerut.</p> <p>The impact of Community Radio is now visible as people are getting aware of a platform in their vicinity for them to speak on issues pertaining to local community, their joys, sorrows, culture, success and future.</p>
