Migration and child labour problem in Nuapada (Oriya)

Due to the exploitative system the famine like situation, prevail even if the farmers get good harvest. Subsequent borrowing from the local traders to purchase food ends up with the small & marginal farmers mortgaging their property to the traders. The marginalization process leads to indebtedness and the small and marginal farmers in this process become landless. Then they migrated to other parts of India for more than six months.
